The Donna Karan project took place before the brand became internationally recognized, during its early stages as an emerging fashion label in New York. The original direction from the client was to create a bold, large-scale branding campaign. However, recognizing that Donna Karan’s identity was deeply connected to New York itself, I proposed building the brand narrative around the city.

When I first looked at ShopGoodwill.com, I saw a tension: the site had decades of content and features, but the user interface felt cluttered and inconsistent. It wasn't clear whether users always understood where they were in the flow, if controls and labels matched their expectations, or how easy it would be for them to recover from errors. In short: usability problems were creeping in unnoticed, and the product team lacked a clear diagnostic lens.

This video was created for a Dassault Systèmes Sales Kickoff Meeting and was designed specifically for presentation across two large screens within the conference environment. The video was created as a promotional asset for the Department of Commerce LAB presentations and was later repurposed as the hero video for the website experience. The goal was to communicate the vision, technology, and impact of the initiative through engaging visual storytelling while supporting both live presentations and digital experiences. The video was designed to function across multiple touchpoints, creating a consistent narrative between presentations, events, and the online experience.

The goal of the AerBand project was to provide an experience in which users could intuitively understand highly specialized air quality information within their daily lives and use that understanding to guide their own behavior. Rather than simply displaying numerical values such as CO₂, VOCs, and formaldehyde levels, the central HCD goal was to enable users to instantly determine whether their current environment was safe or not.

For the AerIoT sensor project, we needed to design an enclosure system that could withstand outdoor environmental conditions while still maintaining sufficient airflow for accurate air-quality sensing.

For the Chicago Match Race Center’s Chicago Cup, held at the end of Chicago’s iconic Navy Pier, I led the design and visual execution for the event experience across both branding and environmental graphics. The event later became a key stepping stone toward bringing the prestigious Louis Vuitton Cup to Chicago.

In this project, we developed the wearable device “AerBand,” a mobile application for pregnant women, and a web dashboard for researchers with the goal of visualizing the effects of air pollution on pregnant women and fetuses while supporting safer daily behaviors.
