For the AerIoT sensor project, we needed to design an enclosure system that could withstand outdoor environmental conditions while still maintaining sufficient airflow for accurate air-quality sensing. The enclosure also needed to support easy maintenance and interchangeable sensor components without compromising durability or usability.
My role involved developing the initial concept sketches, defining the user interaction and maintenance flow, and conducting usability evaluations around installation, replacement, and handling. Through iterative testing and collaboration with the engineering team, we refined the enclosure design to balance protection, airflow performance, manufacturability, and ease of use.
After multiple rounds of prototyping and user-flow validation, we finalized the enclosure design and conducted additional testing to ensure reliability and performance for the final product.
